There are people/situations where if they said this to me I would feel insulted, and people/situations where if they said this to me I’d just be like “totally understood, let me know if you need me to bring you a water or something”.
The number one funniest example of people inventing bullshit reasons ships they don’t like are “problematic” that I’ve ever seen was people calling Brienne of Tarth and Jaime Lannister “like siblings”.
Fam.
Have you forgotten the number one most notable trait about Jaime Lannister.
This is extremely important, y'all. They’re trying to Hyde Amendment trans care for people of all ages.
Medicaid and Medicare coverage would go away, no matter what state you are in. ACA plan coverage would go away. Hospitals would fully just have to stop offering trans care, full stop, or lose their federal funding.
I know we hate the phone but we absolutely can’t sleep on this. If you have a Democrat rep, you absolutely have to tell them to hold the line against this.
Remember, Republicans won’t stop with just eradicating trans healthcare.
Yours will be on the chopping block all to soon, if we do not stop them NOW.
To be clear: this MUST NOT PASS THE HOUSE. It is in an appropriations bill, which is the sole role of the House. The Senate has some power, but not much. This must not pass.
My reps are both Republicans so :P but if they aren’t (or if they are in a purple region and might not risk something this controversial_) CALL THEM
The Senate absolutely has power to amend appropriations bills when they come over, and then the two chambers hash out the differences in committee, or indeed to completely reject such a bill and make the House start over - nothing passes until it is passed in the same form by both.
Nevertheless, the point that it would be far, far better for this not to pass with this poison pill in it in the House certainly stands. Call your Representative.
Senate sent it back without the anti-LGBTQIa+ and anti-abortion provisions. Please do call your all reps as well, especially blue and purple state republicans.
Ok but like. What the fuck is there to do on the internet anymore?
Idk when I was younger, you could just go and go and find exciting new websites full of whatever cool things you wanted to explore. An overabundance of ways to occupy your time online.
Now, it’s just… Social media. That’s it. Social media and news sites. And I’m tired of social media and I’m tired of the news.
Am I just like completely inept at finding new things or has the internet just fallen apart that much with the problems of SEO and web 3.0 turning everything into a same-site prison?
ALSO you should consider browsing Virtual Pet List and seeing if there are any pet sites you might be interested in playing. There is a whole genre of browser games right under your nose
Another one that I just found recently is this, which is a whole collection of blogs, organized by topic!
Look guys the real internet IS STILL THERE I’m going to cry
Getting off of twitter and onto neocities has really healed me and I am so glad to see it is healing other people too ;u; let’s retreat into the self-made digital woods and away from corporate bs pls, I am so tired
The internet is still there, it’s just been cordoned off by The Internet™️ in hopes that we forget about it and keep feeding data to the Machine.
